Understanding Your Post Quota
Each Keyhole plan includes a monthly post limit—the number of posts your trackers can collect within your billing cycle.
Why Quota Limits Matter
Your post quota determines how much data Keyhole can collect for you each month. If you hit your limit, your trackers will pause—and you’ll stop seeing new posts in your dashboard until your quota resets.
Whether you're mid-campaign or monitoring in real time, it’s important to understand how your quota works, when it resets, and how to avoid unexpected pauses.
How to Check Your Post Limit
You can view your quota and usage from two places:
Option 1: From your account settings:
Click your username in the top right
Go to Settings > Billing / Subscriptions
Open the accordion under Current Plan to see your monthly post volume
Option 2: From your dashboard:
Go to Listening & Campaigns > Listening & Campaign Trackers
Your Trackers Used and Data Usage appear in the top summary bar
What Happens When You Hit Your Limit?
If you receive an email that you’ve reached your quota, it means your trackers have collected the maximum number of posts allowed for your plan.
When this happens:
All trackers will pause automatically
No new data will be collected
Your previously collected data will remain accessible
When Does My Post Quota Reset?
Your post quota resets based on your billing cycle, not the calendar month.
Example: If your billing date is the 8th, your quota will reset on the 8th of each month.
Reset means:
Your monthly post count starts over
What stays the same:
Your tracker count
All previously collected data (unless a tracker is deleted)
To find your reset date:
Go to Settings > Billing / Subscriptions > View Invoices
Your next billing date is shown in the top-right corner of the invoice modal
How to Resume Tracking
You have two options:
Purchase additional data: Click +Get More from the Listening & Campaign Trackers page to top up your post volume.
Wait until your next billing cycle: Your quota will reset automatically on your next scheduled billing date.
Things to Know About Quota Usage
Deleting a tracker won’t restore your quota. Once posts are collected, they count toward your monthly limit—even if you delete the tracker afterward.
Turning a tracker off pauses data collection. This keeps your existing data intact and prevents further quota use. You can still view and analyze the tracker at any time.
Posts are collected in real time. There’s no way to retroactively remove them from your quota once they’ve been tracked.
