Check your post quota usage
Know when your limit resets
Resume tracking if your quota is full
Avoid common issues that affect data collection
Overview
Every Keyhole plan includes a post quota—the number of posts your trackers can collect per billing cycle. This limit helps ensure accurate, real-time data without unexpected overages. In this guide, we’ll explain how to monitor your quota, what happens if you reach it, and how to stay ahead of your limits so you don’t miss key moments.
Why Quota Limits Matter
Your post quota determines how much content Keyhole can collect each billing cycle. If you hit your limit, your trackers will pause automatically—and no new data will be pulled in. Whether you're tracking a live event or running an ongoing campaign, it's important to stay on top of your quota so you don’t miss critical insights.
How to Check Your Post Limit
You can view your quota and usage from two places:
Option 1: From your account settings
Click your username in the top right
Go to Settings > Billing / Subscriptions
Open the accordion under Current Plan to see your monthly post volume
Option 2: From your dashboard
Go to Listening & Campaigns > Listening & Campaign Trackers
Your Trackers Used and Data Usage appear in the top summary bar
What Happens When You Hit Your Limit
If you receive an email that you’ve reached your quota, it means your trackers have collected the maximum number of posts allowed for your plan.
When this happens:
All trackers will pause automatically
No new data will be collected
Your previously collected data will remain accessible
When Your Quota Resets
Your post quota resets based on your billing cycle, not the calendar month.
Example: If your billing date is the 8th, your quota will reset on the 8th of each month.
What resets:
Your monthly post count
What stays the same:
Your number of trackers
All previously collected data (unless a tracker is deleted)
To check your reset date:
Go to Settings > Billing / Subscriptions > View Invoices
Your next billing date is shown in the top-right corner of the invoice modal
How to Resume Tracking
You have two options if your post quota is full:
Option 1: Purchase additional data
Click +Get More from the Listening & Campaign Trackers page to top up your post volume immediately.
Option 2: Wait for quota to reset
Your quota will reset automatically on your next billing date. Tracking will resume at that time.
Things to Know About Quota Usage
Here are a few things to keep in mind as you manage your data collection:
Deleting a tracker won’t restore your quota. Once posts are collected, they count toward your monthly quota—even if the tracker is later deleted.
Turning off a tracker pauses data collection. This keeps your existing data intact. You can still view and analyze existing data without using more of your quota.
Posts are collected in real time. There’s no way to retroactively remove them from your quota once they’ve been collected.
