Understand Keyhole’s data protection measures and learn how to:
Set up two-factor authentication (2FA)
Respond to password reset prompts
Overview
Your data is sensitive—and we treat it that way. Keyhole follows industry-standard practices to keep your account protected, from end-to-end encryption to system monitoring and 2FA. That means your information is secure whether it’s stored, shared, or in transit.
How We Keep Your Data Safe
Keyhole uses multiple layers of security:
Encryption at rest: All stored data is encrypted
TLS 1.2 and SSL/TLS: Protects data in transit
Secure logins: All users are required to enable two-factor authentication
Continuous monitoring: We regularly test, monitor, and update our systems to meet the highest security standards
How 2FA Works and How to Set It Up
2FA adds an extra layer of protection to your account by requiring a one-time verification code at login—along with your email and password.
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
You'll be prompted to enable 2FA when you create your Keyhole account. After setup:
A code will be emailed to you each time you log in
This code is sent to the email address listed under your profile settings
📌 To check or update your login email: Go to Profile > Settings > Edit Account
Why You're Being Asked to Reset Your Password
Sometimes, you may be asked to reset your password after we make updates to our systems. This is a proactive security measure and will not affect your future access.
If you see this message: “We have made an update to our systems. Please update your password.”
Follow these steps:
Go to keyhole.co
Click Log in
Choose Forgot your password?
Follow the prompts to set a new password
This reset is a one-time step designed to maintain the highest level of account security.
